CBS News is planning to arrive in Cordova Tuesday afternoon to tell the nation about the 56 inches of snow the city has received since January 1, 2012. In the meantime they've tapped our own Heather Hintze to file a report. This story ran on the  "CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley" earlier tonight.

Heather and KTVA photojournalist John Thain have been in Cordova telling community stories since Saturday afternoon.

 

*EDITOR'S NOTE* It had been incorrectly reported that 18 feet of snow had fallen in Cordova during the recent weeks prior to the publishing of this article. Eighteen feet of precipitation had fallen between November 1, 2011 and when this article was originally published.
