WILLOW – Luan Marques came to Alaska from the other side of the world just for a chance to work with Iditarod sled dogs, but ended up with a lot more than he bargained for.

CBS 11 photojournalist John Thain caught up with Marques in Willow, where doghouses may outnumber human houses, to tell Marques’s unique story.
