Baby Fair Brings In Expecting Mothers5th annual Alaska Baby & Children's Fair Popular With New Moms
Saturday, moms-to-be got the chance to mingle with experienced mothers, as well as check the latest in baby technology. The fifth annual Alaska Baby and Children's Fair drew hundreds of people to the downtown Egan center.
The fair provides the opportunity for parents to check out booths ranging in content from baby retail to medical screenings, as well as see new products and information. The event was not limited to babies; kids participated in fun activities like the annual diaper derby and fishpond. Event workers said Saturday’s fair is about sharing life experiences. “Thread Alaska is involved and thread is a great opportunity for new parents to meet other parents who may have child care issues and challenges and it's a great way for Alaskans to get together and look after each other,” said Joe Campbell, Master of Ceremonies for the Alaska Baby and Children's Fair. |
