ALASKA - The 353-foot fishing vessel M/V Excellence, moored at Dutch Harbor, developed a significant ammonia leak on Friday, causing the evacuation of its 129 crew members.

Three were taken to a local medical facility and two were flown to Anchorage, both in stable condition. One was released on Saturday.

The Coast Guard and other agencies developed a unified command and towed the ship to Wide Bay Saturday evening to ensure the safety of the local community.

They say the leak poses no danger to the public.
