A devastating early morning blaze at a Mountain View home has left one young girl dead and at least one adult injured.

Two adults along with the young girl were inside the two-story home at 3940 McPhee Avenue at the time of fire. Reports of the fire first came in on Anchorage Fire Department scanners today around 9:45 a.m.

The young girl was pronounced dead at the scene. One adult has been transferred to an Anchorage hospital for treatment; their condition is currently unknown. Also, the condition of the second adult is unknown at this time.

At least six fire trucks were dispatched to the scene, plus ambulances and other emergency response vehicles.

The cause of the fire is unknown and the incident remains under investigation.
