Young Anchorage Woman Goes Missing; Police Seeking Information

Anchorage police continue to search for the young woman who was declared missing this past Saturday. Although 20-year-old Janet Buday was just recently listed as a missing person, she hasn’t contacted her family since May 30.

However, on Tuesday, June 21, police pulled over a vehicle for reckless driving and traced the car back to Buday’s family. The driver, 32-year-old David Branham, and an unidentified number of passengers told police they had not seen the young woman for two weeks and had no knowledge of her whereabouts.

Police also report that Buday has an active warrant for her arrest on a charge of failure to appear in court on theft charges.

It's true she has some issues - i've known Janet since 7th grade and we've been friends since - she usually calls me every week with something crazy... but it's completely unlike her to not talk to her dad or other close friends... I've been really concerned and wish they would update us on her.
