An unidentified woman reported to Anchorage police that a man knocked her off her bike and attempted to sexually assault her while she was out riding her bike early Tuesday morning.

The unsuccessful sexual assault occurred just before 3 a.m. on the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail near Lyn Ary Park.

The woman told police she was able to fight off the man and she ran home.  Police said the woman suffered minor injuries in the attack and she was only able to describe her attacker as a skinny man who wore dark colored clothing.

Granted 3 am is not the best time to be bicking by yourself, but if you are out at that time arm yourself in someway, if this person wants to assaultes people someone will, sooner or later stop him,---self derence--- RIGHT!!

Yes... Because when she went out biking I'm sure she thought, "Well, I will get sexually assaulted if I go out, but what the h&*$... I'm going out anyways." The responsibility lies in the perpetrator, not the victim Rodbob. He *chose* to attack her.

Maybe the question here should be, why is she out riding a bike at 3 in the morning? Hmmm?
