A Wasilla man has been charged with sexual abuse of a minor after Anchorage police said he molested a 15-year-old male.
Mitchell "Mitch" Hull, 50, was in court yesterday facing counts of second degree sexual assault and sexual abuse of a minor.
According to court records, Hull molested two brothers, but only faces charges for the 15-year-old while other charges remain under investigation.
Detectives said Hull met the boy at a hockey event last summer. After befriending them, Hull would routinely give him and his friends rides, inviting them to his cabin in Wasilla.
There, he provided them with alcohol and marijuana.
Police say the sexual abuse began in January, when Hull tried to touch the boy in his truck after offering him a ride home.
When it happened again several weeks later, the boy went to the police, and Hull is now being held without bail following a pre-indictment hearing yesterday. The case isn’t over, though. Detectives from the police department’s Special Victim’s Unit said they believe there are more victims who have not come forward.
