ANCHORAGE - Fire dispatchers said a home on the 7000 block of Crawford Street was damaged by a structure fire early this morning.

Two people were injured in the blaze, and firefighters said they responded to the residence just before 2 a.m. The fire was extinguished within half an hour. Dispatchers said they believe it started after one of the residents smoked a cigarette in bed.

The two victims were taken to a local hospital in unknown condition.
