Stryker Brigade Soldier Killed in Afghanistan

According to the U.S. Army headquarters at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Private First Class Dustin Paul Napier, 20, assigned to the 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division at Fort Wainwright, died in a small arms fire exchange in the city of Qalat in Afghanistan's Zabul Province Sunday afternoon.

Two other Stryker soldiers were wounded as well. PFC Napier was from London, Kentucky, and joined the Army in July, 2010.

Next of kin have been notified. A memorial service will be held at Fort Wainwright for PFC Napier; details on the service will be announced soon.
