Storms Keep Tree Cleanup Companies BusyWork could continue into NovemberANCHORAGE - Tree specialists are working around the clock to remove hazardous trees that were uprooted or downed in the past two windstorms. Moist ground and strong winds have uprooted cottonwood and birch trees right across Anchorage and removal companies say they can't keep up with the demand. Crews are focusing on trees that are on houses or threatening safety. The owner of Tall Trees say he's had three people answering phones and still 100 unanswered voice mails at the end of the day.
