Stanford Study Says Organic Doesn't Mean More NutritiousResearchers concluded, on average, produce labeled organic didn’t have more nutrients and wasn't any less likely to be contaminated by E. coliANCHORAGE - Does organic mean more nutritious? A new study by Stanford University said not necessarily. Researchers concluded, on average, produce labeled organic didn’t have more nutrients and wasn't any less likely to be contaminated by E. coli. Owner Steve Plante said his customers can taste the difference. “They notice their peaches are sweeter, not watery with hardly any flavor. They notice their apples are juicier and more succulent. They notice the food is better and they feel better,” said Plante. |
