GIRDWOOD- Thousands flocked to Girdwood to celebrate the end of the ski season during the annual spring carnival at Alyeska.
Photojournalists Rachel McPherron and Fred Stokes were there as 50 costumed contestants took on the challenge of skimming across not one, but two freezing cold ponds.
