ANCHORAGE - A shooting in broad daylight Tuesday afternoon has left a man in critical condition.

It happened on 42nd Avenue between Dale Street and Piper Street.

Police aren’t identifying the victim yet, but say he called 911 after 1 p.m. and told dispatch he’d been shot in the leg.
