Robbery at South Anchorage Pizza HutSecond location of the popular pizza parlor robbed this monthANCHORAGE - Anchorage police are looking for the two men who robbed a South Anchorage Pizza Hut early yesterday morning. Investigators say the two men entered the restaurant just after midnight. One armed man searched the premises, while an unarmed suspect demanded cash from an employee at the front. The unarmed suspect tied the clerk's hands and feet with duct tape before the two men made off with cash and an overnight deposit bag. Dani Myren, a spokesperson for APD, said the suspects “left the restaurant, and reportedly they left the area, in a dark colored SUV.” Anchorage police say there are steps businesses can take to avoid becoming a target. “In general, take a look at your environment, look at your business practices, look at your lighting, look at your video surveillance there, your closing and opening procedures, those types of things,” Myren said. Both suspects are described as white men between 50 and 55 years old. Earlier this month, the Pizza Hut downtown near the FBI building was also robbed. If you have any information, you're urged to call Anchorage police at 786-8900. Or to remain anonymous, call Crimestoppers at 561-STOP. |

Bit old to be robbers or they could be veteran criminals of the overthehill gang.
