ANCHORAGE - The FBI said rap videos produced by a local group made its job much easier in charging its members with one of the biggest cocaine rings in state history.

"That is at least 50 kilograms of cocaine during the conspiracy, and law enforcement during the course of it seized 24 of the kilograms of cocaine," according to Assistant U.S. Attorney Frank Russo.

"Up North 'D' Boys" have a variety of rap songs on YouTube and Vimeo, and even have their own website promoting their music. According to the FBI their rap careers were used to cover up drug proceeds.

Russo said the group also used the money to promote their music careers - making it seem like they were far more successful rappers than they actually were.

But the fame and notoriety they craved could end up costing them.

A house at 331 Danilynn Circle is on the list of things the FBI wants to see - the bureau claims the house and a number of cars were purchased with drug money.

Thursday, agents raided the home in the Muldoon area.

Neighbor Seth Faughnan said he saw agents carrying assault rifles bust down the door to the home Thursday morning.

In videos, the group's alleged ringleader, Terrance Fleming, known by his nickname "Bay Dilla," raps about drug dealing and crime and hints he knows he was under surveillance.

The FBI said the minimum penalty for the crimes is ten years. The maximum is life in prison.

Nine people have been taken into custody already in Anchorage, California, New York and Nevada. Two Fairbanks men remain on the lam.

Agents are looking for Jerry Wormley, Jr., 34, and Brent Gunnels, 31.

If you have any information on their whereabouts you are urged to call the FBI at 907-276-4441.
