Alaska Rap Group Indicted in Historic Drug BustFBI says "Up North 'D' Boys" used drug money to promote their careersANCHORAGE - The FBI said rap videos produced by a local group made its job much easier in charging its members with one of the biggest cocaine rings in state history. "That is at least 50 kilograms of cocaine during the conspiracy, and law enforcement during the course of it seized 24 of the kilograms of cocaine," according to Assistant U.S. Attorney Frank Russo. A house at 331 Danilynn Circle is on the list of things the FBI wants to see - the bureau claims the house and a number of cars were purchased with drug money. Nine people have been taken into custody already in Anchorage, California, New York and Nevada. Two Fairbanks men remain on the lam. Agents are looking for Jerry Wormley, Jr., 34, and Brent Gunnels, 31. If you have any information on their whereabouts you are urged to call the FBI at 907-276-4441. |
