On Monday, U.S. District Court Judge John Sedwick sentenced Andrew William Young, 48, to 22 years in federal prison for the production and receipt of child pornography.

Of the sentence, 264 months were for taking photographs of a boy believed to be approximately 12 years old, and 240 months for receiving and possessing sexually explicit videos and pictures of hundreds of other children. The sentences will run concurrently.

According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Audrey J. Renschen, Young not only produced child pornography, but also collected over 747 videos and 4,300 pictures of child pornography including children under the age of 12, bestiality with children, bondage with children, and "sadistic or masochistic conduct, and depictions of violence."

Young alleged his involvement with child pornography was for research purposes, but Sedwick stated, "I don't doubt it's for gratification."

After serving his 22 years in prison, Young will be on supervised release for the rest of his life and may not have contact with any person under the age of 18 without adult supervision, among other conditions, including registering as a sex offender.

Glad to see he's getting a serious sentence. Child rapists / pedophiles, don't usually last long in federal prisons. I doubt very seriously he will ever see the light of day again.

try old-school therapy - elders, relatives and its free - well usually - or chores traded. this happens all the time in the field. knew a guy who worked in a hospital and raped kids. no one said anything about him because the fasad was that he " was great with kids " yikes but hey whatever right? in the meantime the kids who get harmed are just left in the wind!
