ANCHORAGE - Anchorage police say early Friday morning, likely between the hours of midnight and 2 a.m., a person or persons unknown committed at least a dozen of acts of vandalism in the South Anchorage Kempton Hills neighborhood.

An APD spokesperson said reports are still coming in from residents of the neighborhood, but so far 8 vehicles, including one police car, two garage doors and several houses have been reported spraypainted in black and red paint with vulgar messages, racial slurs and swastikas. Among the buildings vandalized was Grace Christian School, which reported vandalism to police about 2:30 a.m. Police say black smiley faces were a common theme, and the police car vandalized was spraypainted with profanity.

Anyone with information on the crimes is asked to call Anchorage police at 786-8900.
