Police End Manhunt for Andrea (Andre) Vickers; Arrested on Assault ChargesPolice found and arrested Vickers at a home at the 8700 block of Runamuck Place around 7 a.m; he was taken into custody without incident.
The nearly six-day long manhunt for 22-year-old Andrea (Andre) Lavelle Vickers ended this morning with his arrest on charges of second-degree violent assault.
Police found and arrested Vickers at a home at the 8700 block of Runamuck Place around 7 a.m. Police surrounded the home and Vickers was taken into custody without incident. A felony warrant was issued calling for his arrest July 8. Anchorage police believed Vickers was armed and dangerous and encouraged area residents not to apprehend the suspect if spotted. Anchorage Police Department Special Assignments Unit, K-9, vice, warrants and patrol units assisted in the arrest. |

These criminals have lost the fear of being thrown in jail . It's just a vacation for them. Make prison life as it's supposed to be. Hard labor with little or no entertainment.Make them feel the pain and suffering that they inflivted on their victims. Only then, we will have proper judgemnt.
