Police Comb Neighborhoods for Missing BoyNathan Turpin was last seen wearing blue jeans, a dark hooded sweatshirt and white sneakersUPDATE: Nathan Turpin, 11, was found by Anchorage police at a friend's home in Oceanview around 2:20 Wednesday afternoon. ANCHORAGE - There is still no trace of an 11-year-old South Anchorage boy missing since Tuesday, police said. Nathan Turpin was last seen wearing blue jeans, a dark hooded sweatshirt and white sneakers around 10 a.m. at his home on the 2000 block of Steeple Drive. He lived there with a gaurdian, and police spokesman Lieutenant Dave Parker said both of his parents had passed away. A friend said they received a text message from Turpin around 5 p.m. Tuesday: The boy hasn't been heard from since. While police said it's possible he ran away, they consider every missing child of that age to be endangered. Anyone with information on Turpin's whereabouts is asked to contact the Anchorage Police Department at 786-8500. To view the missing persons flyer, click here. This is a developing story. |
