ANCHORAGE - Marlon Pajarillo, 21, was arrested Monday on first-degree attempted sexual assault of a minor.

According to charging documents, Pajarillo slid underneath a wall separating bathroom stalls at the Totem Theater without any pants or underwear on August 26 and accosted a 10-year-old boy.

During an interview with Pajarillo, he told officers that he asked the minor if he was “ready” and immediately knew from his hesitation to answer the question and his young voice that the unnamed boy was under 18 years old.

In a police statement, according to the minor, as the man slid under the stall’s wall Pajarillo attempted to grab the boy's legs and pull him on top of himself. He said the suspect kept telling him “C’mon, let's do this.”

Pajarillo told police that despite of his knowledge of the boys young age he “hoped” the boy will be willing to partake in sexual acts.

The juvenile was able to flee, as well as the suspect. APD was able to identify Pajarillo by his movie ticket purchase.

In the police interview, Pajarillo also admitted to viewing child pornography. He blames those images for his loss of control at the movie theater.

Now, Detective Lenny Torres of APD’s Crimes Against Children Unit believes there may be other victims of Pajarillo. According to Lieutenant Dave Parker, that is because of the suspect's bold approach to the child and his statements in the police interview.

APD is asking anyone with information related to the investigation of Pajarillo to call 786-8573.

Pajarillo made his $10,000 cash bail after his arrest Monday.

If you or someone you know is doing bad stuff like this turn yourself or them in so they aren't a threat and can get some help if possible. There's too much pain being inflicted on others and it needs to stop.

Really?????After doing such a horrible act to this child his bail is only $10,000, go out and steal a candy bar and you'll never get out...When is our crazy system going to stop slapping these child molesters on the hand and protect these innocent children. They get out of jail in no time if any and do the same thing because nothing excessive happens to them....Someone, Anyone please tell me why is this sick, sick child molester now out roaming the streets looking for another innocent child...Oh yeah because his bond wasn't set at NO BAIL.....

That photo simply did justice to this guy. $10,000 bail for attemped rape of child is bit low. So he made his bail and now seeking another victim. Who is this generous judge?

I want to throw up so bad, I have a six year old son that hates going in the ladies room with me, but I tell him he's not old enough to go alone. Hearing stuff like this I don't think I will ever let him use the mens bathroom

At the very least, CASTRATE him, preferably with rusty surgical tools. I feel for you AJ. I often think about this single parent's dilemma.

It is sad that the court system only gave him $10,000 bond. Where do they get the nerve or gall to set a bail soooo low that ANYONE could get out. All ya have to come up with is $1,000 for the bail bond! And NO THIRD PARTY?!? why not?!? People who commit a less henious crime are given a stiffer bail WITH restrictions!!! But not s CHILD MOLESTOR? WHY NOT??? it is leniency like this that encourages others to continue down the degraded trail they're heading down. And what of this young boy?!?!?!? His life is forever changed...not just 'changed' but completely screwed up!!! I know kids are resilient but child molesters ought to not be allowed to waste precious oxygen by continuing to breathe! Too much hurt...too much pain...too much damage. And watch-some bleeding heart will say he did it because of HIS childhood...so what about his young victim?!? My prayers are with the little boy & his family...may he find peace.
