There were two car wrecks downtown Friday afternoon. One was near City Hall near Sixth Avenue and D Street, in which a car hit two pedestrians. One of the pedestrians walked away, the other was injured and taken to Providence Hospital.
In another accident, a vehicle hit another vehicle near the Captain Cook Hotel, and the second vehicle nearly crashed into the hotel.
