Occupy Anchorage Rally Grows in Number; Goal Remains UnclearWhile the common enemy is corporate greed, they say they still don't have a solution.
As the Occupy Wall Street movement continues to spread across the country, it’s still going strong in Anchorage.
It's the second weekend in a row Occupy Anchorage has set up camp in Town Square Park in downtown Anchorage. In that time, things have come a long way. The hundred or so protesters say they represent 99 percent of Americans in their fight against corporate greed. However unclear their goal may be, their complaint is not. "The greed, the lack of financial regulation, and the apparent inability of our elected officials to represent the people rather than the lobbyists," said Occupy Anchorage demonstrator Michael Mason. While the common enemy is corporate greed, they say they still don't have a solution. "How do we get there, what laws there are that we need to enact, what the approaches are—these are all subject to negotiation and change among the members," said Geoff Kennedy, another demonstrator. |

American Communist Party and the American Nazi Party have both come out strongly endorsing the occopywallstreet. That right there should be enough for most Americans to hang the flag upside down. But the media is communist leaning, too, so we are really in trouble. And why is there so much free media coverage of this event. There is an annual media blackout of the hundreds of thousands who gather all over the globe on the anniversary of Roe v Wade to protest abortion. The annual March for Life that the pro abortion media pretends that the March Life doesn't happen!

This article is great! Look at other cities....People are turning this into a Hippie Fest. But here in Anchorage these hip...'protesters' only see them on the weekend and when it is nice out. I can't wait until January.

Occupy Wallstreet is an orchestrated act for a global control over the elite. The hippies of the 60's were useless and now half-baked hippies??!! WOW class war fare does NOT work. There is corruption. Take it to congress NOT riots against private business. Lets await the outcome of the NEW BLACK PANTHERS ........This movement is a distraction at best. The hippies of the 60's were stooges for the progressive liberal movement. Anyone who ever believed in what the hippies stood for wasnt paying attention at all. They werent even right on any counts. They wanted to bring down the goverment too. This new street trash protesting today are hold outs from the old days,,and their children,who have been brainwashed by the far left wacko's who are teaching those kids. Commies (their own name) and unions are behind this stuff. Well,,ship the commies to china,,and destroy every union in this state. Find a way to force the state, though voting, to make us a Right to Work state,not one under union controls. (Yo,union thugs,,bring your brass knuckles when ya come see me.)

In fact, I question your understanding of not only the Occupy Wall Street movement, but of a few basic terms: 1) Marxist 2) Communist 3) Idiot J: You're citing a tiny, tiny minority of stories, and claiming that the media is covering it up? The media's job isn't to cover in great detail the smallest of exceptions to the rule. And if you'll remember correctly, you'll realize that the national media, for the most part, in fact did NOT demonize the Tea Party. Heck, it is and was SPONSORED by various organizations owned by Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation!

They'd only be representing 10% if they were representing the rich, but they're not. They're representing the other 90% who aren't rich - especially the fading middle-class. They aren't the gimme gimme fools that the 10% represent; remember they're the ones who are trying to get out of paying taxes and trying to take as much money from the working class as they can. How can you not see it - oh, unless you're one of the 10% we're talking about.

These people have burned cars, defecated on police cars, promoted violence and revolution all over the country, hundreds of arrest at every rally, and incited racial violence and hate- but you have to look it up on YouTube because our "media" covers it up, and cleans it up for TV. Yet they told us to fear the Tea Party, called them terrorists and bigots, yet there wasn't a single arrest, act of violence, or hate speech. If these anti-Semites where at a Tea Part rally it would have been prime time news every night for a year. What a controlled little bubble we live in.
