i have several guns, can't see why you need a 10 or more round clip, not for hunting forsure. i approve of the presidents points on guns, but i don't look to the nra for money to support my campaign.

I have no problem with a national gun registry,how else do you track stolen guns?My guns were stolen by a low life in Whittier.Even though I know who did it the police wont do anything so the theif can do what he wants,sell them,use them as their own.With a national gun registry the police could not protect this council member/theif. He would not be able to sell,trade,or transport these guns without being cought.Close the gun show loop holes,Do back ground checks,get ballistic(a fired bullet)from every gun and gun barrel registered.Every time a gun is sold there would be a paper trail just like selling a car.You sell a gun and dont turn in the paper work and any crime comitted useing that gun would come back on the seller as well as the actual criminal.Turning in the paper work keeps you safe from prosecution.It would take a decade to get most of the illegal guns (those that go unregistered mainly by crooks) off the streets.

One thing he seems to always forget, the 2nd amendment is not about hunting and target shooting. It is about defending our selves against oppression The NRA isn't about hunting and target shooting either, it's about defending the constitution.

Look at the last paragraph. "...holding people accountable who have committed crimes or about to commit crimes," About to commit crimes?? And, unless the person tells you they are about to rob the bank, how exactly do you propose to do that? Reminds me of George Orwell's concept of "thought-crime"
