New Wasilla Zip Codes Beginning July 1The U.S. Post Office has decided to divide the Wasilla zip code in half to handle the area’s rapid growth. One of Alaska’s fastest growing cities is now getting two new zip codes. The U.S. Post Office has decided to divide the Wasilla zip code in half to handle the area’s rapid growth. Beginning July 1, Mat-Su Valley residents who live on Church Road and north through Meadow Lakes, Big Lake and Houston will soon have the zip code 99623. Those on the other side of the new postal divide will keep their old zip code of 99654. If you are unsure if your zip code will be changing, the post office is sending out notices indicating the new boundaries. |

Wasilla already has three zip codes, 99629 in the Meadow lakes area, 99687, and 99654. So that makes the new total 4 right?

What's confusing? You recieved a notice that states your new zip code, that means you are in the effected area.

Is there a map to show the new boundary? I received a notice but I do not live in any of the area's listed in the story - I live down Knik Goose Bay road. So the description of where this new boundary area lies is very confusing. A map would be helpful.
