ANCHORAGE - They call it “harnessing the power of your hair,” and it explains why KTVA's Sean Doogan, Brett Shepard and Corey Allen-Young have been sporting quite a bit of facial hair.

The group of men is raising money for Covenant House, which helps homeless and troubled youth. At the end of the month there will be a beauty pageant, where one winner will be crowned.

“We have our participants walk down the catwalk, and they get judged for their prowess, and their lovely hair, their fantastic mustaches, and we crown the best stash in Alaska and the best 'do in Alaska,” said Sheila Parker of Covenant House.

Covenant House is hoping to raise $10,000 by the end of the month, but it's still short of its goal.
