Museum Displays Toy Collection"Wonderland of Toys" has some that date to 1800sIf your kids are too eager to wait through the eight days of Hanukkah or until Christmas to get their toys, you can find quite a collection at the Anchorage Museum. The “Wonderland of Toys” exhibit features a Christmas tree covered in handmade dolls representing different cultures from around the world. There’s also a completely furnished Victorian dollhouse, toy soldiers from Germany and Japan, and some toys even dating back as far as the 1800s. Museum staff say the exhibit is a way to mix history with a little bit of fun. The museum also borrows several carousel animals from a local collector every year to add to the Wonderland exhibit. The collection will be on display through January 8.
