Lisa, raise taxes, cut loopholes, cut costs, and raise taxes on cooperations. You are on the wrong side.

Increasing taxes will merely increase the cost of doing business which in turn icreases the cost to the consumer. The issue is one of perception - and the division between the two parties is obvious - one side sees the debt as a revenue (tax) problem the other as a spending problem. The reveue side is creating the class warfare appoach to garner support. Almost half the population pays little of no income tax at all- we here in ALaska pay no State income tax. I am embarrassed by the short sightedness of those who have been on"on the doe" for so long declaring that its time for big business to pay "its fair share" when they have been paying littl or nothingg

You are "right on" !! Corporations do not pay taxes; their customers do through higher prices. It's time everyone pay some taxes; we all want to take ownership in the country and should support in some way. Granted their are some who are truly unable to support themselves and need assistance. But the large majority of the population ae able to pay something.

U.S. corporations tax rate is one of the highest in the world. Corporations do pay taxes and pretty high. Those of you who think otherwise are deeply misinformed. This is why corporations seek tax heavens in the countries other than U.S. and take their businesses overseas. The only way to keep production and employment in the U.S. is give corporations an incentive to do so and IT IS through decreasing corporate taxation rates.

Lisa is right on. No increase in individual or corporate taxes (Headline seemed to miss 'individual' taxes....hmmmmm) We all pay for increased corporate taxes.

Corporations don't transfer their business because of taxes. They do it for cheap labor. Middle class America is paying out 35% of its income in taxes, and where do they go? To bail out banks and protect oversea oil interest, via war. Quit groveling to corporations or we'll find our six year old kids working in sweat shops.

So why are multi-millionaires paying less taxes than the hourly wage guy? They have the wealth to create and take advantage of all the loop holes. That leaves them more money to travel abroad and buy all the expensive imported goods. Not sure how that helps America. The poor overtaxed wealthy! From what I understand, if the tax cut "expiration" would only affect money above a certain threshold, like $500,000. Oh, the horror!!! They might only be able to afford a 98' yacht instead of a 100 footer. Face it, most you complaining about any tax increase will never be affected. Why do the bidding for the corporate wealthy? Because our quitter half gov says to? Don't forget W..."debt doesn't matter during war..." "We'll pay for it with the spoils of the war..." Yeah, we're paying for it allright. Get a mind.
