ANCHORAGE - On Tuesday, the municipal clerk's office announced that a hand recount of 15 precincts from the April 3 municipal election - certified by the Anchorage Assembly last Thursday - would begin on Wednesday.

Ten voters filed for the hand recount, at a cost of $100 per precinct. The municipal clerk, Barbara Gruenstein, formed an Election Board to conduct the recount.
