He needs to be beaten every morning till he cowers and turns to jello when he sees the man walk into the room. Then do the family and the rest of the world a favor and Kill It. But no. Now he has all the rights and is protected and is now an even bigger burden to society and this family. Kill him and get it over with. Let the little girl know that this animal will no longer walk her path. So she can heal.He should have been dead before the sun went down that day. Prayers for the sweet child.

I am so very sorry for the little girl and her family that had to go through that and I hope that every ting goes well with her and that her family will get the best from the justice system and the family will be in my prayers.

They need to fix these boxes so they do not auto scroll up. This guy should be punished hard, but as long as we focus on punishment of individuals we will have these attacks on kids. We have to address the core problem as a society with government to prevent these attacks. If our ssytem with multiple personalities with ages 8 - 45 can solve the problems, why can't out elected officials do it?? Maybe if we throw a few out of op

The text box on these posts needs to be fixed so they are not hiding by auto scrolling up when your typing! As a note, if my multiple personalities ranging from 8- 45 years old can solve these problems and see the core issues, WHY can't our elected officials solve the issue?? If we throw a few out of office maybe they will think with their minds over paychecks!!!

We (our system) almost forgot to add something. As long as we treat these violent people on a per person basis rather than fixing the overall issue that causes the thought process we will have cases like this!! This guy needs to be punished hard. However why focus on punishing one person when we as a society can address the base issues and PREVENT things like this??

Yes this is a horrid crime and APD should have done their job better to say the least. However we have to remember that crimes are commited on kids around the US. If we as a society want to change this it must be taken as a bigger issue, not per person. Not to mention as far as mental health, I am mentally ill myself and some say unstable and I have not gotten any help from the system, and anything positive I have done, it was because of my SO telling me it was me getting help or him walking out... SO I fully agree the system IS an issue.

He will not get the maximum sentence because the Judicial system in Alaska is EXTREMELY liberal. It's all about the defendant's rights, not the victim's!!

My heart goes out to the Dunwoody family, keep up your vigilance. How this could happen especially after the "perp" made contact with APD is unfathomable???? We need better monitoring of the unstable people in our community. Please advocate for better healthcare and control of people with dangerous mental health issuses....before another child is robbed of their youth.

This is a shocking story! How could this man do this to a small innocent child. I am saddened that this little girl has changed because of what this monster did to her. I hope he gets the maximum sentenance for this crime. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family tonight. I hope she will be able to overcome this obstacle in her life and not fear every male figure out there. I am so sorry that this happened to her. May God Bless her and her family.
