More Reaction to State of the UnionAlaskans' opinions varyThe economy is at the top of their minds for many Alaskans who say they are tired of hearing talk and want to see action. It was action, not just regarding President Barack Obama, but Congress too, as Alaskans say the gridlock and debate of not doing anything to help Americans needs to stop. Those were the words Dr. Deborah Giedosh wanted to hear in President Obama’s State of the Union Address, a message she waited for during a meal at the Snow Goose Restaurant. “I'm hoping to hear about the state of the economy,” said Giedosh. This healthcare provider was listening for something in particular. “I wanted to see how far advanced he's gotten with his health care plans.” Others at the restaurant tried to figure out what the president's words really mean on key topics like health care and national security. The main focus, though, was on the economy. But with Congress deadlocked on how to solve the problem, others say lawmakers are the problem. “I give Congress an F,” said one man who was eating at the bar. “They are not doing their jobs.” It's an uphill battle to restore the economy and bring back jobs. Whether those words will be put into action remains to be seen. Alaska's lawmakers weighed in as well, as seen in the video above. |

Blah, blah, blah. "I" created 3 mill jobs. No mention of the 5 mill that lost jobs and those who have given up. Hours of blah, blah, blah.
