ANCHORAGE – It has been 11 days since their son went missing and now senior airman Clinton Reeves' parents are expanding their search to find him, but they are not alone.

On Thursday, members of Reeves' squadron teamed up to help by hitting streets across town. It's a parent's worst nightmare, not knowing where your kid has gone, so Reeves’ extended family at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson was out to help bring their brother home.

It started as small search in East Anchorage and has expanded to the entire city. Reeves’ mother Judy Davis is not alone in looking for him because those Reeves serves with are lending whatever they have to help find him.

“My number one priority as military commander right now is finding my airman,” said Lieutenant  Colonel Patricia Csank, who is in charge of the 673rd Logistics Readiness Squadron that Reeves was a part of.

She said he is considered one of the best, and when he didn't show up to work they went looking for him immediately. “When he didn't report, we already had people out in the dorms looking for him, out at the chow hall; we had already been calling the hospitals,” said Csank.

Now, with his family in town, the goal is to make sure his parents have everything they need. “I just don't want to see his mother and his father, who are not familiar with this area, go off into some of these neighborhoods and some of these trails alone.”

Master Sergeant Monica Strong is one of the determined. She met Reeves before, which is why she wanted to be a part of the search. For her it’s simply about bringing home a member of the family. “When I heard this was going on, to me it goes to my heart because the Air Force, the military we're all like a big huge family and sometimes this is all the support you can get.”

JBER officials said reports of Reeves leaving his keys in the ignition of the rental car are not true. They said his keys were found between the hood and the front window. Thursday, a crew of up to 15 service members split up in teams, with Reeves' mom and dad going to places like Girdwood, Flattop, South Anchorage and Muldoon passing out flyers to people and businesses.

A lot of them also cancelled their leave for vacation to stay on board with the search. Officials are asking anyone with information about Clinton Reeves or the red Dodge Avenger he was driving to call Anchorage Police at 786-8900 or Crime Stoppers at 561-STOP.
