Today a Mercedes Benz crashed into the south Anchorage restaurant Korean Garden, around 10:30 a.m.

According to officers at the Anchorage Police Department, Janice Locker was driving the Mercedes on loan.

The woman claimed that she had pushed the brake, but instead the car lurched forward over a curb and into the restaurant.

Foster Villa, manager of Vulcan Towing said, “We've seen this a few times. Down in Borders books one went through the door, didn't hit the brake pedal, hit the gas. Downtown on Fifth and Gambell vehicles went through the building there. It's happened a few times in town.”

Locker received a ticket for due care, and the Mercedes has been taken into a local auto shop to be inspected for possible malfunctions.

Amazing how a vehcile such as a Mercedes can drive all by itself. A Mercedes crashes into restaurant, perhaps, maybe could it have been the person behind the wheel of the car, in control of the car actually be the one who drove the Mercedes into the restaurant? The bottom line is a mistake was made, thank God no one was killed or even injuried.
