Man Shot in Mountain View Park; Non-Life Threatening Injuries

Police said an ambulance transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment; the man sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Anchorage police are searching for a person suspected of shooting a man in Mountain View.

Around 4 p.m. Saturday, a man called police reporting that he had been shot near Davis Park and Mountain View Community Park. According to reports, the suspected shooter ran into the woods near the two parks and has yet to be found.

Police said an ambulance transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment; the man sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Police are in the process of interviewing the victim.
