Fire, death and tragedy – the Anchorage Police Department says a man found dead behind a Fairview business this weekend was the father-in-law of a woman killed in a fire earlier this month.

Police say 70-year-old Gonzalo Flores’ body was discovered behind the Black Angus early Saturday morning. Officers aren’t sure exactly what happened to Flores, but say alcohol was most likely a factor in his death.

Flores’ home was destroyed in a December 4 fire. The blaze killed 41-year-old Angelica Flores, and displaced the family from the home.

Officers say they do not know if Gonzalo Flores was homeless when he died.
