Police say it is a significant break in a Muldoon murder case that left two men dead and seriously injured two others.
Police were calling Lee Chee Chang a “person of interest” but now they are calling him a murderer. Chang turned himself in to authorities Wednesday evening with his attorney, Rex Butler, by his side. Chang was arraigned Thursday afternoon on first-degree murder charges but was not permitted to enter a plea. Butler says his client will plead “not guilty” to the charges at a future date. Police accuse Chang of pulling the trigger on Emilio Ramirez, one of two men who were killed in a gunfight in front of JJ’s Lounge in Muldoon early Monday morning. The other man who died was Chang’s older brother. Butler says that has doubled the suffering of Chang’s family. Chang is actually the third person arrested in the case but so far the only one accused of actually pulling the trigger. Police say they are not looking for other suspects but that there could be additional charges for others who were at the scene. They also admit that many questions remain. They say Ramirez was shot multiple times and there were multiple shooter. Who had a weapon and who used it that night are questions that may only be answered after lab tests come back. |

Justice is not serve yet until the murder of Kameng Chang is solved!! How can you the police label Lee Chang a murder when there were multiple gunshots???? Do your job and go look for all the people involved!! There is an almighty God that saw everything. Lee Chang will be set FREE!!!

Sounds like another gang related incident.Need to get these kind of people out of Alaska.They are nothing but troube, continuely...no brains, no conscience, no education, no morals, no heart, just stupid thugs trying to show how tough they are.They are just idiots going to prison. Bring back dueling. All this could have been decided on a 'field of honor' with no collateral damage. The brave back-shooters would actually have to back their play face on .. rather than the cowardly drive-bys or the opening up in public places with little or no regard for their 'backgrounds' [where the bullet will end up]. I expect folks would be a sight more polite with each other knowing they would have to back their play... sure seems a lot saner than what we got now ,...overcrowded prisons... the costs associated with filling those prisons and of course we can't leave out... how like ....totally OVERPOLICED the citizens of Anchorage are.... Oh and did I mention the copious weeping of the innocents' families?
