Man Arrested for Sexual Assault

Anchorage police have arrested 34-year-old Terry Sievers on charges of first- and second-degree sexual abuse of a minor.

The female victim, 15, told detectives Sievers first assaulted her when she was five or six, and continued the abuse over the years. She claimed he had beaten her when she refused his demands for sexual favors, and threatened to kill her mother and beat her brothers if she told anyone of the abuse.

Sievers is held without bail pending a court date, and detectives said they believe he may have committed other similar crimes.

Anchorage police ask anyone with information to call Detective Torres at 907-786-8573.

I would encourage anyone effected by traumatic events to report them as soon as possible to the Office of Civil Rights. You can access this at a local library and free of charge. If you do not have a card you can get a guest pass and file today. Simply go to the WhiteHouse website and scroll down to the Office of Civil Rights and fill out the online form. The more they know the more they can send investigators up to Alaska.

I am a student at UAF Justice Center and I have heard of a case that is a carbon copy of this one. The vicitms were threatened and the parent attempted to be " taken out " so as to not lead investigators to a grow-operation? That is conspriacy to commmit murder and failure to report a crime. what I don't get is why didn't Sarah Palin do as much as Sean Parnell in this? Was she involved as she was reported to snort coke and smoke pot? Dirty sexy politics as McCain said?
