ANCHORAGE – APD has arrested Paino Alvarez-Perdomo, after a woman was shot in the torso in Midtown Wednesday.

Just after 2 p.m. APD responded to an apartment off of Tudor and Bering, after reports of a shooting.

APD says the suspect is the victim’s son. Officials said she was able to walk down the road with her daughter, who called 911, before being taking to the hospital.

Police surrounded the man's Arctic Sun Apartment Building, before taking him into custody.

Alvarez-Perdomo, 29, is being charged with first-degree assault and misconduct involving a weapon. He is being held on $10,000 bail and his arraignment is set for Thursday.

The victim has been released from the hospital.

bail? 10,000 dollars? How bout no bail because a guy that would shoot his mom isn't to be trusted not to shoot anyone else.
