Lori Phillips Sentenced for DUIs
Still not sentenced for 2009 DUI killing
In downtown Anchorage, the 58-year-old woman who’s been convicted of killing a young father while driving drunk back in November of 2009 was back in court early Monday.
Lori Phillips was originally scheduled to stand trial this week for two previous DUI cases – one from March of 2009 – six months before she killed Louis Clement near Potter Marsh, and the other from November of 2005.
According to a municipal prosecutor, Phillips was out on probation for those cases when she drove drunk in November of 2009 and killed Clement.
Phillips pled guilty to five charges Monday morning, and was sentenced to 878 days, about two and a half years.
She has not been sentenced yet on the November 2009 case.
