Local Students Give Back With CansAnchorage high schoolers bring friendly competition to their annual food drive. For the past two weeks, students at SAVE High School have been doing more than just school work: They’re on a mission to collect as many cans of food as possible. The classrooms are competing to see who can gather the most food for an upcoming United Way food drive. Many SAVE students have recieved food assistance before, and their teachers said it makes them eager to give back.
Last year, the school collected more than 3,000 pounds of food for the drive, and the students said they hope others will join their mission to help prevent more families from going hungry.

did these kids earn the money to buy this food or just take it from their parents? So who gets the congrats then the kids or parents. If the kids took it from their parents then this is just another failed lib lesson. Lib Lesson take from one and give to another. bad. Non Lib lesson earn your own money and decided to spend it on food for others, good.
