ANCHORAGE - Cyber Monday is expected to be one of the busiest online shopping days of the year, with Americans expected to spend $1.5 billion. That’s up 20 percent from last year.

It’s not just national chain stores getting in on the online dollars. Local stores, like Alaska Wildberry Products, have seen a boost in sales over the Thanksgiving weekend as well.

For Cyber Monday the company is offering 10 percent off gift baskets and 50 percent off ground shipping for orders over $149.

General Manager Dwayne Guerr said the website is a great way to reach customers, especially if they’re not in Anchorage.

“We have so many people up here in Alaska that are only here for a short time and they go out of state. They still love our product and want to be able to get our stuff. The more I can offer online, the more they'll keep on coming back,” said Guerr.

Guerr says Alaska Wildberry Products just added its entire “mix & match” candy counter to the website as well, basically tripling the online products.
