A long-time Anchorage attorney has died.

According to an obituary in the Anchorage Daily News, Dennis Maloney passed away on December 18 at the age of 64.

Maloney grew up in Anchorage and had a practice here for many years. In addition to his legal work, Maloney was a patron of the arts. He also founded a non-profit organization called Bye-Bye Bullies that worked to stop bullying among schoolchildren.

Maloney died of cancer at his Goose Lake home surrounded by family and friends.
