Power Returns to 16,000 Chugach Electric Customers in Northeast Anchorage
Chugach Electric says thousands of customers in northeast Anchorage are without power, mostly in the area surrounding East Tudor Road.

At around 3:45 p.m., Chugach Electric says power returned to 16,000 customers in northeast Anchorage who had been without electricity for a little over an hour.
The outage hit homes and business largely around East Tudor Road.
Chugach electric reports that the lights went out starting around 2:30 p.m. when four power plants went out.
The cause of the outage has not yet been identified.
