ANCHORAGE- Michelle Tasker, Koenig family spokesperson, reacts to the the arrest of 34-year-old Israel Keyes. Keyes was arrested Tuesday in Lufkin, Texas.

James Koenig spoke with KTVA CBS 11 early Thursday morning and said he did not know or recognize Keyes.

"I hope it is the guy. I hope they caught him. I hope my daughter can come home now."

Samantha Koenig had been living with her father at the time of her disappearance. James Koenig has held several search parties of his own, looking for clues about his daughter's whereabouts.

Former coworkers at the House of Harley-Davidson and Common Grounds Espresso coffee stand said they're glad an arrest has been made, but are still waiting for news of Koenig's whereabouts.

"It's still not the ending,” said Melanie Ornelas, working at Common Grounds Thursday evening. “She’s still missing, it doesn’t really bring closure.”

BobD- all we know is the suspect will be extradited to AK-- one step closer to knowing that path, that night Samantha Koenig did not come home. We mustn't let our own hopelessness forecast doom for someone else. Keep heart, keep hope. Let the police do their job and just know we are one step closer to finding Samantha Koenig.

I'm sure family has thought that, but reading speculation by people in print makes it very hurtful. Your comments do no good and only cause pain. I'm sure your parents would be proud.

Also, on another report, they claim to have based their charges on evidence found in his car, but wont say what that is. her personal items, blood, finger prints, What?
