UPDATE 3/31/12 - The Anchorage Police Department confirms the shed was seized in connection with a homicide or kidnapping investigation.

ANCHORAGE - More than a dozen FBI agents paid a late night visit to Israel Keyes' Turnagain home Friday.

Keyes, 34, was arrested earlier this month in East Texas in connection with the February 1 kidnapping of 18-year-old Samantha Koenig, and remains in custody in Anchorage on federal access device fraud charges. Court documents reveal Keyes was found with rolls of cash and a stolen VISA debit card on March 13 in Lufkin, TX, and detectives with the Anchorage Police Department said they believe he was directly involved in Koenig's abduction.

Around 10 p.m. Friday, FBI agents used shovels and sawhorses to remove a white storage shed from the driveway of Keyes' residence on Spurr Lane, loading the structure onto a flatbed truck with a forklift and leaving with it about an hour later. The truck was followed by several unmarked law enforcement vehicles.

Eric Gonzales, a spokesman for the bureau, refused to comment on the seizure.

The shed was taken to the FBI building in downtown Anchorage, where the Anchorage Police Department's Major Crime Scene van was parked early this morning. Department spokesman Lieutenant Dave Parker said detectives had not revealed the details of the search to him, but confirmed the shed had been seized as part of a homicide or kidnapping investigation.

The events Friday night followed a previous seizure of Keyes' white, 2004 Chevy Silverado pickup. Detectives have asked the public for help identifying the vehicle's whereabouts in early February, and believe Keyes' may have received help installing a pair of green construction boxes in the back of his truck following Koenig's kidnapping

Your username and comment don't fit each other. If you are a "sonofliberty" you certainly shouldn't be advocating torture. If you're advocating torture, I find it doubtful you believe in liberty. Sigh.
