Former U.S. Senate candidate Joe Miller will have to pick up the tab for more than $17,700 in legal fees the state racked up for defending his challenge to the way write-in votes were counted for the 2010 U.S. Senate race.
Today, Alaska State Judge William Carey filed the order and said Miller's challenge to the election was not to promote and preserve constitutional protections but rather to win an election and to get the benefits that come with that.
Miller will not have to pay the costs to cover then-challenger U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski's involvement in the lawsuit.

Not much more to say, Miller-Palin, Palin-Miller Alaska's answer to Backwoods Bimbo's and Publicity seekers. Between the two of them they have done a great job of making us the laughing stock of the Country. But they were good for keeping a conversation through the long winter nights.

Sadly, I still see Miller bumper stickers on many vehicles, leading me to wonder just how blind some of my fellow Alaskans are. I'm no fan of the Murkowski clan and their devious dealings, but Miller is an idiot plain and simple, and a dangerous one to boot. I pity the kids whose parents made them stand on corners waving Miller signs. Hopefully they grow up to be a smarter generation.
