ANCHORAGE - Israel Keyes, the alleged murderer of missing barista Samantha Koenig, sat down in federal court for the second time this week.

Keyes was under heavy security, handcuffed to a desk and surrounded by four U.S. Marshals.

The judge addressed Keyes' apparent escape attempt, as well as the gallery's reaction, before setting a trial date for March 11, 2013.
