The Anchorage School District says a high school-aged scammer is going door-to-door soliciting money under the guise of a school fundraiser.

The young man says he is collecting money for a West High School football trip to Italy, but school officials say West High is not traveling to Italy or any other foreign country for that matter.

The scammer will drop the name “HP Consulting” as part of the “fundraising” effort.

Please don’t give your money or personal information to anyone from “HP Consulting” or anyone who is trying to raise money for a West High School football trip out of the country.

Wish I would have known about this 3 days ago before I gave this kid $100.00. Oh well, live and learn.
