ANCHORAGE—Police say Keone Jason Lee, 28, sexually abused two little girls who were staying with their family in Lee’s travel trailer on the 1400 block of Marten Street in the Nunaka Valley neighborhood.

Lee was charged with 12 counts of sexual abuse of a minor and assault. He was arraigned in Anchorage jail court on Thursday afternoon.

According to court documents, the abuse of the 11- and 6-year-old sisters started shortly after the family moved into Lee’s trailer.

Police said the family was homeless until Lee invited them to stay with him.

“To have a person who is homeless and seeking shelter or some place to live for her and her four children is sad in and of itself,” said Anchorage police spokesperson Anita Shell. “But then to be putting yourself and your children into a home where the children are molested is just unthinkable. Yeah, it’s unfathomable.”

The 11-year-old girl told detectives Lee licked her breasts and vagina on multiple occasions in his room.

Police said he set up a web camera outside his window and stopped if anyone came up to the door.

The girl said the entire time during the assaults, Lee held a 26-inch double-edged sword.

”He threatened to kill both their mother and the family or friends, whomever she may have told,” Shell said. “Because of those threats she was reluctant to say anything about the abuse.”

But after weeks of abuse, the 11-year-old girl told a family friend.

Detectives found Lee had also raped her 6-year-old sister at least once. They say there is no evidence they say that he touched the other two small children in the family.

Detectives did find evidence of child pornography—at least 250 images of children as young as infants.

“We seized a computer which contained additional child pornography and infant child pornography, which is quite rare,” Shell said.

It’s unclear whether the children in the images are local, but police aren’t ruling it out.

Lee was convicted of possessing child back in 2009, when he was stationed at Fort Hood in Texas.

Detectives fear there could be more victims.

“Because these people show a pattern of repeat offenses—we’re hoping that that's not the case—but we are looking for anybody whose children may have made contact with him,” Shell said. “We want to talk to those people and see if they, too, were victimized by him.”

Police are still going through all of Lee’s computers to see whether the victims in the pictures live in Anchorage.

If you have any information on Lee, or know of any children who may have come into contact with Lee, Anchorage police are urging you to call Detective Chris Thomas at 786-2628 or APD’s main number at 786-8900 or Crime Stoppers at 561-STOP.

Lee’s bail was set at $100,000 cash or corporate bond, plus a third-party custodian.

I agree with what Simple man posted. The coverage of the alleged offense painted far too vivid a picture. Juvenile victims need to be protected. Besides, news should not muddy the future jury selection process.

I just want to say while I can appreciate good coverage of the news that is happening, I find it in poor taste to say in such detail what he did to her. A simple "He sexually abused a minor" will do in that case. She may have class mates see this, or friends. I am just saying it would upset me If it were my kid, kind of insult to injury

The alleged victim never stated that Lee held the sut hword on her during the alleged sexual assault. The girl stated that Lee pointed to a sword he kept in his room. He allegedly did threaten the girl and her family but he never made more than a verbal threat about the sword. One should remember that Lee is ACCUSED of committing a crime he has not been found guilty. There are some issues in the girls story and there is no evidence at this time actually linking Lee to any assaults. Possession of pictures most possibly but the investigation is continuing. The alleged victim has previously admitted to making up false stories when angry at her parents so she would be removed from the home. I don't know if this is the case this time (nobody does) but Mr. Lee deserves his day in court to attempt to prove his case if he can BEFORE we automatically assume his guilt.

This is truly unthinkable! I don't live in the Anchorage area, but would be willing to donate to a fund at a bank to help get proper shelter and expenses for this family. Has anybody in your community stepped up to the plate and helped with the shelter issue? This family needs stability and counseling NOW!
